About 'Zak and Flo'
My name is Ruth and I live in York with my husband, Steve, and two young children Isaac (6) and Florence (3). Hence the name of the shop! Having a girl & a boy means that the shop is not just filled with dresses…I cater for boys too!
I opened the shop in early 2008, just in time for the recession! I just hope that what they say is true; after every recession there is a baby boom!
I am situated about a mile out of the city centre, in the least likely of places and have free, unlimited, parking directly outside the shop. I have young children so understand what it is like to have your hands full, want to try clothes on and keep another one entertained at the same time! We want the experience of shopping at Zak & Flo to be as pain free as possible so will happily cuddle a baby whilst you browse. I have even been known to change the odd nappy whilst Mummy & Daddy are busy! If it makes your life easier I will open up out of shop hours too!
I stock additional brands to those shown on the website. Eventually everything will be on-line but in the mean time give me a call and I will let you know what we have in stock. If we don’t stock an item (or a brand) please use our “personal shopping search” which is shown under each brand and we will do our best to source an item for you.
We also stock Sarah Louise and Little Darlings Christening Wear. Our site is current which means if it says we have an item we have that item. We guarantee you will not get a phone call the following day to say we have accepted your payment but we don’t have the stock. If we are showing out of stock please ring and we will order it in for you and it should arrive within a couple of days. Coming soon is our Christening hire website.
